Merchants FAQ

Please read this section carefully and thoroughly.

Merchants are also encouraged to read the Conditions of Use and Copyright Information of Illusions Designs Inc. websites.

■ Becoming a Merchant at Illusions Designs

We are always looking for talented, energetic people. We want you to be creative and innovating. There is no limit to the imagination. Talk to us and lets see what we can do for each other.
We will accept Merchants whose talents include original creations in Poser, Bryce, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, 3DStudio Max and related 3D models.
Merchants with artworks such as prints, gilces and other related medium are also accepted in the Store venue. These special merchants will be responsible for the delivery of the merchandise to the customers.

■ Merchant Share and incentives - Illusions Designs store will retain 40% (fourty percent) of the sale's item. The Merchants will inherited 60% (sixrty percent)of the sale's item.

■ About Promotional issues - Promo pages - Please provide complete verbiage for description in a notepad file. Merchants are encouraged to describe as much as possible about the item in question. If a Merchant has an idea of a particular layout that is willing to use please let us know and we can work with it as long as said layout does not dramatically effect the Terms and Conditions of the sale.

We at Illusions Designs Strongly encourage all our Merchant members to do as much promotion as possible, inside and outside of Illusions Designs website. More public relations and promotions means better business for all of us.

■ Merchants Store Policy

1 - Merchandise - There are no limits on the number of items or packages you can upload and have at your store. Merchants who qualify are encouraged to upload as many products as they wish. Diversification is a great tool for success.

2 - Packaging - Please make sure that all zip files have merchant and product names in them.

3 - Poser thumbnails (png) - You must make sure the png's will show in all versions of poser beginning from Poser 4.

4 -  Promo images - Minimum of 2 (two) images, ideal width is 1000 pixels (no limit in height) with corresponding thumbnails for the promos of 100x100 pixels each.
One side image (product page image) 260x500 (the height here is not so important.
Please name your images 01.jpg, 02.jpg, 03.jpg etc and the corresponding thumbnails 01T.jpg, 02T.jpg, 03T.jpg etc. Here is a snapshot of how the ideal page should look like:

■   One product thumbnail size 166x115 with rounded corners. Click here to download the product thumbnail template (psd format)
■   There are no limits on the amount of promo images you ca submit. Make as many promos as you wish, make them beautiful and we will host them all.
■   ILLUSIONS.DESIGNS will create all the pages for the products. All you have to do is supply the images and content. We will do the rest.

5 - Documentation - It is necessary for the package to contain a Readme.txt or Readme.htm file, clearly stating if there is anything special issues that need to be addressed, any special notes on versions, if the package was designed and/or tested for D|S (version) etc Poser 5, Poser 4 or both etc. Any special instructions such as the need for conversion in order to comply with Mac architecture should be noted.
Also the Readme file needs to have the Vendor/Merchant Copyright statement, name and contact/e-mail address clearly visible.

6 - Packaging - All submitted packages will be tested and checked for proper file/directory path.

■ Package Submission Rules and Guidelines

Copyright Issues - Please provide complete description of the resources used on the creation of the texture files. This information can be given by either the addition of a text file together with the package or it can be stated directly in to an unusable area of the mat file.

■ If you character Mats has any sort of skin decorations such as tattoos, jewelry designs, skin designs etc the sources should be noted on the Readme file. If the source comes from and third party creation, a release document or statement authorizing the use of said decoration is required.

■ There is a limit of 100 (one hundred) megabytes file to be uploaded at the time. Please make sure the files are properly zipped and at the best compression possible.
■ Make sure zip poser package plus all your promos images and Readme files are zipped in one single file with your name and name of the character on it, i.e. myname_package.zip (i.e. johndoe_mypackagename4.zip)
